I work on location and will travel to your home or location of your choice, such as a park. Natural surroundings or the comfort of your own home, deck, patio or backyard using natural light are the best backdrops to create images that are individual. It's also far less stressful for me to visit your pet than for your cherished friend to be taken away from where he or she is happiest.
On arrival I will take a little bit of time to get to know your pet but more importantly, your pet will get to know me. This allows them time to relax with a stranger in their surroundings.
Don't be concerned if your dog is a barker when a stranger arrives. Most pets usually settle within a short time. And, if puppy school didn't quite work out the way you wanted it to that's okay as well. My aim is to capture your pet's personality while it's happy doing what it does best... being itself.
To ensure the comfort of your pet I won't be using a flash as many animals can find this disturbing. On most occasions the shots will be taken outside. Alternatively, if your pet is quite settled in a brightly lit area such as next to a window or doorway, that will work equally as well.
