Portrait Photography Session On A Rainy Day
by admin on Aug.04, 2010, under Portrait Photography
I was offered an assignment where I was required to photograph a younger subject but the desired child hadn’t been chosen at the time. I knew of someone who may have fit the bill so I set out to grab some examples to show my client.
As it turned out, on the day we had it planned the skies became quite overcast and it had been sprinkling on and off all day. So, we had fun dodging showers and driving through suburbs that we didn’t know to find interesting locations that were also under cover. It was one of those “now or never” situations so we made the most of it.
Fortunately, there were gaps in the rain so we were able to get to work and have fun taking a variety of photographs. Along with this, we discovered some perfect locations along the way. Best of all, we both had fun.
A Beautiful Cat – Pet Photography

I had a rather unexpected situation presented to me on the same day I was photographing the Pomeranians. There happened to be a cat peacefully roaming amongst the shrubbery.
I just couldn’t let an opportunity go by and I asked if it was okay for me to photograph it while they were preparing their next pom, and they were happy to oblige.
Luck was with me on this day as this beautiful feline was in the right mood to be curious enough to come and say hello. And I must say, it’s a gorgeous looking cat! Her eyes are stunning!
So, as much as it wasn’t part of the official proceedings, I managed to get some lovely photographs of a cat and, because the owners were gracious enough to allow me a few moments to do so I was happy to give them a complimentary print of it as way of thanks.
But besides that, the people that I met on this day were wonderful and are devoted pet owners.
Pomquest Pomeranians – Pet Photography

Recently I had a pet photography session in Brisbane with some stunning Pomeranians. These adorable dogs were so full of life and happiness!
Admittedly, these weren’t just ordinary Pomeranians. Their owners take great pride in breeding and showing them while also enjoying them as pets.
I had several dogs to photograph on this day. And, when two adorably gorgeous pups were brought out my heart just melted. They were so cute! And, it obviously helps when they come bounding up to you as quick as lightning to say hello and ask for a cuddle.
All of these dogs had eyes that never stopped smiling. I had a fabulous time photographing them!
For anybody who would like to know more about Pomeranians or who is looking to purchase a puppy I’m sure the people at Pomquest would be more than happy to help you. I’ve included their link at the bottom of my blog site.

Again, I headed to the northern suburbs of Brisbane for a pet photography session to be entertained by a Maltese/Jack Russell cross. This lovely pet had a wonderful time being the centre of attention.
Girls Just Want To Have Fun – Portrait Photography

I love witnessing friendships amongst teenagers and sometimes I’m lucky enough to capture moments that will always make me smile. We had a young friend join us for the night for a sleepover. The girls happily volunteered to spare some of their time in front of the camera. They were happily being themselves which was even better!
Although some shots were posed there were others that I couldn’t bear to shelve to be forgotten forever. Juvenile antics make for precious memories.
